ABOUT
BIOGRAPHY
Pat Snyder is a Nashville based painter who creates abstract paintings with acrylic, fabric, and other mixed media on canvas and paper.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Snyder began her interest in art when she was young, while playing in fabric stores with her mother. Her mother taught her to mix seemingly disparate textures, colors, and patterns to create distinctive works of art in the form of dresses, coats, and more.
Design has been a constant thread throughout Snyder's professional marketing career and has played an important role in honing a sense of balance, color, and texture in her artistic works.
Snyder has studied with various artists including Anton Weiss, Martica Griffin, Krista Harris, Audrey Phillips, and Steve Aimone, and continues to do so regularly. Her works reside in private collections alongside artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Louise Nevelson, and Frank Stella.
